The monthly meeting for the Disabled American Veterans Crow Wing County Chapter No. 22 will be 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the Brainerd VFW club.

Chapter 22 officers meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

Ideal Town Hall: Lois Steffen and Jim Thompson, 15; Barbara Legas and Mary Rodeberg, 15; Larry and Donna Fleer, 9.

IRONTON — The next Aitkin/Crow Wing County Council meeting of the American Legion will be 7:30 p.m. July 27 at the Ironton American Legion Post No. 443.

All members of the American Legion are encouraged to attend.

Discussions will include upcoming events, Post happenings and other pertinent information regarding the American Legion.

Lakes Area Unlimited Learning will have a virtual gathering at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, with Tom Hanson, retired Foreign Services, for “International Relations in a Time of Pandemic and Elections.”

Hanson weaves the stories of current affairs in relation to United States interests and actions. He has been an annual guest for many years and continues to be active in researching international issues and serving on related boards. He also teaches international studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

The Brainerd Eagles Club will serve breakfast 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, July 12, at 124 Front St., Brainerd, and will feature the Eagles’ special for $8.

Social distancing practices will be observed.
